WEB Madge Dorita Sinclair CD née Walters (April 28, 1938 – December 20, 1995) was a Jamaican actress best known for her roles in the films Cornbread, Earl and Me (1975) and The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman (1974). Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Sinclair began her acting career in the 1960s, appearing in several stage productions and television shows.

A Rising Star

Sinclair's breakthrough role came in 1972 when she starred alongside James Earl Jones in the TV miniseries The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman. Her performance as Clementine earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. This award-winning role launched Sinclair's career, and she went on to appear in numerous films and television shows throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
